Southwestern Indiana is home to several talented visual artists, musicians, actors, filmmakers, dancers, and other types of artists.
The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana is dedicated to supporting artists of all mediums in the region. As a nonprofit, support from the community and from artists is key to continuing all the work we do in Southwest Indiana. The Arts Council is supported by nearly 100 artist members.
The Arts Council launched the newest version of its website in 2022. We’re still working on adding more content, links, and information to help artists and art lovers.
For active artists, the most popular page on our website is the upcoming exhibits and call for artists for page. There you will find information about our exhibits in 2022 and how to register for open-call shows (shows in which all artists are welcome to submit entries). Gallery Director Andrea Adams uses that page to post exhibit prospectuses, which include the information about the theme of a show if there is one, any applicable fees for members or non-members, size and framing restrictions, and other information about an open exhibit.
We also use the page to share any calls for artists or opportunities that other organizations share with us.
