The March and art exhibition are intended to be a celebration – of love – of children – of diversity. We encourage every single person to be a voice for their neighbor, child, sibling, parent, friend or stranger to instill the values of love and inclusion to our community’s future leaders.

Children’s March on Evansville

The Children’s March on Evansville will take place on Sunday November 12th at 1:30 pm. The rally prior to the March begins at the Four Freedoms Monument with sign making, speakers and more. Then, we will march less than one mile to the Civic Center. No pre-registration required. Community groups are welcome.

Love Not Hate Expressions exhibit

The Love Not Hate Expressions is an exhibition that will celebrate respect, equality & diversity through art. Community youth are invited to submit works of art that reflects love not hate. Art can be submitted in various forms (i.e. photographs, paintings, video, sculptures, etc.) and collected October 14-November 12 at cMoe.

The Love Not Hate Expressions exhibit will be on display at various organizations November 12- December 31. Let your voice be heard!

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!

We are in search of volunteers to man intersections along the March route (Four Freedoms Monument to Main Street to Civic Center complex), literally creating a safe space for young people to express their values of love and inclusion to our community.  Volunteers are also needed to assist with sign making prior to the March, and to facilitate art projects in the Children Museum’s Art Maker Space following the March.

Volunteers will be assigned responsibilities via email.  There will be a brief volunteer meeting on Thursday, November 9th at 5:30 pm at the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana (318 Main Street) to distribute t-shirts and go over the event and volunteer expectations.

Email [email protected] if you would like to volunteer!
