Art Noir (a black, white, and grayscale exhibit)

The Arts Council is bringing back it’s most popular exhibition, Art Noir. Art Noir is a black, white, and grayscale ONLY exhibit, without restrictions on media or theme. It is a juried exhibit with awards. A reception will be held on Saturday, April 20th, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. For details and the registration form, please click the link below.

26th Annual Working Together (an Arts Council and Evansville Museum collaborative exhibit)

Working Together is a collaborative exhibit presented by the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana and the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science. The artwork is displayed at the Evansville Museum for the duration of the exhibit, with an opening reception held on Thursday, May 2nd, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Working Together is a regional call open to visual artists. All media are eligible. Each artist must pre-register to enter. Art MUST be original works and completed within the last two years. Entry cannot have been displayed in any Arts Council juried exhibition or have won a cash award in any regional exhibition. Artist must sign a hold harmless agreement at the time artwork is delivered. Accepted art must remain on display for the entire duration of the show. All sales generated from Working Together will be subject to the 35% commission policy, established by the Arts Council. Each artist should price their work accordingly, if the piece is for sale. Arts Council Rooftop Deck Sculptural Furniture

Proposals due February 21, 2019

The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana is seeking an artist or team of artists to create furniture for the new 212 Main Street Rooftop Art Deck, to be opened in spring of 2019. The ideal proposal(s) will use weather proof materials to create seating and tables to be permanently located on the Art Deck. Furniture must be functional sculpture or artistically designed, and must have a guaranteed lifespan of at least ten (10) years.
The Art Deck will be used for outdoor events, receptions, concerts, and other performances and gatherings, and will be open to the public during Arts Council business hours.

Designs for Vinyl Wrap on Fence Surrounding Park at Fourth and Main Streets

Proposals Due February 28, 2019

DOWNTOWN EVANSVILLE – Economic Improvement District (EID) is seeking several artists to submit graphic artwork or photography for designs to be printed on vinyl wrapping that will be attached to the fence surrounding the park at Fourth and Main Streets. The height of the fence wrap will be 6 feet, and the width of each design will be 3 feet to 8 feet per the respondent’s design. By submitting a proposal, artists agree that their photography or design will belong to the EID for a period of up to 2 years.
