The Arts Council wants submissions for Millie’s Dino Trail, a 10-site trail of dinosaur-referenced images and amenities (murals, benches, bike racks, swings, etc.) in Downtown, Evansville.
This project was made possible by a generous grant from the Rotary Club of Evansville.
Project Description: Millie’s Downtown Dino Trail, a collaboration project between The Louis J. Koch Family Children’s Museum of Evansville, The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, and The Downtown Evansville Indiana Economic Improvement District, is built around “Millie the Dinosaur,” an oversized Tyrannosaurus rex sculpture originally installed at cMOE, and recently relocated to Mickey’s Kingdom. A 10-site trail of dinosaur-referenced images and amenities (murals, benches, bike racks, swings, etc.) will link the two locations, promoting walkability and wellness, and encouraging families to explore Downtown, Evansville. Each location selected for art installation highlights merchants, eateries, and venues accessible to all ages.
