Evansville teachers and nonprofits can apply now for these ARTSWIN grants

The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana has two great grants opportunities for to help create and continue arts programs and projects for Evansville students.

These grants are limited to programs and activities that benefit K-12 students in Vanderburgh County. And only schools and 501(c)3 nonprofits are eligible. Private organizations can partner with a school or nonprofit for their project.

Sponsorship of the Arts grant 2022-2023

The Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana’s 2022-2023 Sponsorship of the Arts grant application is live now. The grants are for the development or advancement of arts opportunities and experiences for K-12 students in Vanderburgh County. The Arts Council dispersed $44,000 in Sponsorship grants in 2021.

  • Funds are for projects and programs between Aug. 1, 2022 and July 31, 2023.
  • Only schools and 501(c)3 nonprofits are eligible. Private organizations can partner with a school or nonprofit for their project.
  • Funds are intended to benefit K-12 students in Vanderburgh County.
  • Grants available up to $5,000.
  • Available for development or advancement of arts opportunities and experiences for students.
  • Applications are due by June 17, 2022.

A committee of Arts Council board members and arts education community advocates review all grant applications. The full Arts Council board of directors approves all funding recommendations.

Community Arts Fund Opportunity grants

Opportunity grants have similar guidelines as the Sponsorship of the Arts grants, but on a smaller scale. The grants are limited to $500 and under, and are available for arts opportunities and experiences that arise outside of normal budget and curriculum for pre-K-12 students in Vanderburgh County.

Some examples of eligible projects or programs include participation in arts contests, engagement of visiting artists, exposure to traveling exhibits or performances, etc.

A committee of Arts Council board members and arts education community advocates review Opportunity grant applications monthly. The current grant window is for projects now through July 2022, but the 2022-2023 grant cycle will open during the fall semester.
