Join local artist Mark Brendel and the Evansville Design Group (EDG) from 6pm-9pm on Tuesday, May 6th for an evening exploring the craft of making books by hand. Mark will show examples of the books he's created over the years and will demonstrate his bookmaking process. Participants will learn the basic steps in creating a book and will create their own small hardbound accordion book. There will be a $5 material fee to be paid on the day of the class. The Arts Council is hosting a new series of artistic conversations and workshops called “Work in Progress.” This project aims to engage artists with other creatives and the community through a variety of collaborative discussions and interactive events. Performances are 6:30-10 p.m. on Saturdays through the summer. All On The Roof concerts are free and open to all ages. Enjoy music from the second-story rooftop, or from the ground on Main Street. A cash bar provided by Patsy Hartigan's is available at all concerts. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
