CALL FOR ART: Arts Council Brings Back Digital Art Exhibit “Digitized”

After many years, the Arts Council has brought back the Digital Art exhibit, Digitized. The last form of Digitized took place nearly a decade ago in the old gallery space at 318 Main Street. Since then, digital art has become more accessible for more people through social media platforms and the rise of smart technology like tablets, modern cameras, and more.

The Arts Council’s Digitized exhibit invites artists to explore the limitless possibilities of digital art, showcasing works that integrate technology as an essential part of the creative process. From digital paintings and illustrations to photography, video, and sculptural pieces enhanced by digital tools, this exhibit aims to highlight the innovation and versatility of contemporary digital artistry.

We welcome submissions that push the boundaries of expression, utilizing software, coding, or other digital mediums to redefine visual storytelling. This is an opportunity to celebrate the fusion of art and technology, demonstrating how digital creation shapes the evolving landscape of art.

Want to submit your digital art? Visit our calls for art page.

From Scratch: An Art Exhibit About Food

From Scratch is an art exhibit celebrating food in all its forms, whether as a source of joy, a cultural touchstone, or a symbol of shared experiences. We’re especially interested in works that portray growing, harvesting, cooking, or eating, exploring food’s connection to identity, tradition, indulgence, and even humor.

There will be a special award from Urban Seeds for artwork that highlights the beauty and significance of fresh, local ingredients and agriculture. Please review their website and check out the programs they offer. Local food is for everyone! If you wish to submit art, visit our Calls for Art page.
