Evansville Philharmonic: Musician Showcase

For your Sunday afternoon enjoyment, the Orchestra showcases several musicians as soloists. Principal Trumpet Micah Reinharz and Bonnie Farr on English horn will be featured during the first work, "Quiet City," painting a formidable picture of New York, a thoughtful musical commentary of a city that is internationally renowned as never sleeping. Principal Clarinet Emily Cook performs the “Adagio” from Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto highlighting gorgeous and lyrical melodies. Principal Second Violin Michael Chu performs Saint-Saëns’ virtuosic "Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso." The afternoon is complete with Sibelius’ Symphony No. 5 with mysterious beauty, majestic themes, and triumphant melodies. Aaron Copland Quiet City
