Indiana artists seek spaces to spark organic relationships and networks within and beyond their respective disciplines. Designed to provide network and connection for primarily emerging artists across the state, Work in Progress Exchange Labs is a pilot program from the IAC launching in 2025. Artists will meet monthly across regions of the state to share career updates, challenges they are facing, and build community hubs dedicated to creatives. Artists who participate in these small groups will also be eligible for small support grants on a rolling basis, which can be used to complete a work in progress, purchase new equipment,

2025 Young at Art Reception

Young at Art, the Arts Council’s annual youth art exhibit, IS BACK! Young at Art gives local young artists in grades K-8 the opportunity to display artwork in a professional gallery setting. Evansville Speaks is a spoken-word open mic! This event's theme is "Fresh Start." Please fill out this simple form if you wish to participate. All ages are welcome to participate as well as attend! Join us for some still-life Drawing! We are heading to the Northside ton Thursday, April 24th to draw an Italian still-life scene at Dontae's Pizza Parlor! No art experience is required. We encourage you to bring your own supplies, but we will have a few things available.

Book Binding Workshop

Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana 212 Main St, Evansville, IN, United States

Join local artist Mark Brendel and the Evansville Design Group (EDG) from 6pm-9pm on Tuesday, May 6th for an evening exploring the craft of making books by hand. Mark will show examples of the books he's created over the years and will demonstrate his bookmaking process. Participants will learn the basic steps in creating a book and will create their own small hardbound accordion book.  There will be a $5 material fee to be paid on the day of the class. Space is limited to 40 participants. Sign up below.

Work in Progress: “Digitized”
