In 2024, the Arts Council launched the Month for the Arts, and it is that time again! We are so excited to spend the month of February celebrating local art and artists with you. Your support in 2024 allowed us to:

  • Host 10 fine art exhibits with 1,057 artist participants and 345 young artist participants
  • Hold 10 On the Roof Concerts featuring 60 performers and 18 bands
  • Provide 18,364 indviduals with arts experiences in the community
  • Award 12 Artist Advancement Grants supporting local artists’ careers
  • Invite families to the gallery for 5 early childhood Creative Exploration Days
  • Facilitate state arts investment through 10 Southwestern Indiana counties
  • Lead advocacy efforts for the inclusion of arts and culture in strategic community planning
  • And so much more!

Join the Arts Council staff for a special fundraiser, Wine & Canape Tastings On The Roof, hosted by Jeremy Huff and Entwined Wine Bar. This will be a very special, ticketed fundraiser with our neighbors on Main Street.

Secure your tickets and invite your friends for a fun night to kick off the weekend in downtown Evansville!

First Pairing: Artichoke & Olive Canape and specially selected wine
Second Pairing: Mushroom Canape and specially selected wine

Join us for a lively evening at Pop-up Pub On the Roof, hosted in collaboration with our future neighbors on Main Street, Patsy Hartigan’s Pub. This special event is a fundraiser benefiting the Arts Council’s enriching programming.

Date: Thursday, May 2
Time: 5:30-7 PM
Location: Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana, 212 Main Street, Evansville, Indiana 47708

Tickets are $50 per person, with $20 of each ticket being tax deductible. 

During the event, guests will learn to craft two signature cocktails, including the classic Irish Coffee and another exciting drink from Hartigan’s menu. The Irish Coffee, a blend of rich coffee, Irish whiskey, sugar, and cream, has a history dating back to the 1940s when it was created to warm up passengers at an Irish airport. In addition, attendees will savor tantalizing small bites previewing the future offerings of Hartigan’s Pub.

So, snag your tickets and join us for an evening of fun, community, and support for our future downtown Evansville neighbors. Sláinte!

Martini Magic

Join us on Friday, September 22, 5:30-7 pm for another night of cocktail making On the Roof at the Arts Council. The theme of this cocktail-making session, hosted by Bartender Reece Everett of Entwined Wine & Cocktail Bar, is Martini Magic. Guests will make two martinis, the first is Entwined’s adaptation of the popular Pornstar Martini that has been popular at many MICHELIN restaurants and bars around the country. The second martini will be a tried and true citrus favorite, the Blood Orange Lemon Drop Martini.

Then enjoy your works of cocktail art on the Rooftop Art Deck overlooking Downtown Evansville.

Admission to this unique fundraiser is $50, which includes the bartending lesson, two cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a complimentary bar accessory for your home bar.
